Meet David, he’s part of our Markets team so some of you may already know him well.
David really enjoys meeting our customers at markets and food festivals, “it’s always so rewarding to hear how much they enjoy the products” he says.
Markets aren’t always fun though, especially in the winter according to David – “standing in 4C and colder, waiting for the first sale of the day is probably the worst time. Once you’ve made your first sale, the cold always seems much more bearable!”
Not everyone would know this but David is very good at cooking and enjoys using our products as much as he can. Although he’s a fan of our whole range, he’s particularly partial to our Red Wine & Draycott Blue Salami but also Coppa, Blackdown Ham and our Air Dried Duck Breast.
As well as cooking, David enjoys a glass or two of a good red wine with friends commenting that “our pokers make a brilliant accompaniment to something robust, red and fruity”.
Having worked with us since 2017, initially in production but more recently moving to selling at our regular market stalls, David’s most memorable moment was definitely his first time working on our stall at Bath Christmas Market, “the weekends were so frenetically busy and so many people were excited to buy the products from us, it was exhausting but exhilarating in equal measure!”.
Look out for David at some of our regular farmer’s markets this year including Nailsea, Wells and some of the Eat Festival events…
