Meet Leo, he heads up our packing and order fulfilment team here at Somerset Charcuterie.
Leo is an integral part of the team ensuring that only the highest quality products reach you.
His role is varied and includes running the daily checks of drying rooms, planning, grading, slicing and packing our finished product and organising order dispatches.
Leo joined us five years ago and instantly loved our friendly atmosphere and how everyone mucks in together to get the job done. The role has its challenges and it can get pretty crazy during busy periods when orders are flying in and need to get out the door. Being the happy chap he is though, Leo always has a positive attitude and likes to get stuck in, with some upbeat music to aid him!
He’s also a dab hand at training and loves showing people new skills and implementing new systems which has been invaluable to us as a small team.
Outside of work, Leo loves cooking, especially his native Mexican food (we aren’t talking fajitas here), and would one day love to run a little restaurant. That’s probably why one of the favourite aspects of his job is tasting the new products although he’ll happily admit to loving all our products; “there’s not one product in our range that I don’t love eating especially with a good glass of local cider and some friends to enjoy the delicious food with”.
